Insta Live 2 – All about Eyes
Over the next two lives we will be looking at everything eyes, with this week’s focus being on shadows and liner. This first Eye focused Instagram live is over at @blushbeautyandhair. Here are our favourite products…
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, £16:
Great for: A perfect, light in texture eye lid base for your eye shadow.
Not so good for: I genuinely can’t think of who it wouldn’t be good for… Unless you don’t wear eye shadow!
Grace loves it because: It works even on the oiliest of eyes and stops your eye shadow creasing. It also comes in multiple shades so is great for all skin tones.
Dior 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette in 537 Touch, £48
Great for: Those who love pinky, matte nudes.
Not so good for: Anyone who loves shimmer in their shadow.
Penny loves it because: This is a beautiful every day palette that adds natural definition to eyes.
Soap and Glory Archery brow pencil, £10:
Great for: Brightening the inner eye and making your eyes look more awake.
Not so good for: The brightening end of the pencil is in a pinky white tone so although this is good for white and some Asian skin tones, it would not work for Black or Indian skin tones.
Grace loves it because: The matte highlight end is what I love, putting it in the lower waterline brightens the whites of the eyes in a really subtle way.
By Terry Ombre Blackstar, £29
Great for: Those who like a swipe, blend and go eyeshadow.
Not so good for: Those with very oily eyelids.
Penny loves it because: It’s so easy to apply. Scribble over the eyelid, blend with a brush and you’re good to go. You can also create a complete smoky eye with Misty Rock alone!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, £16:
Great for: Defining your eyes with a kohl that you can smudge out or leave bold. Once set it doesn’t budge.
Not so good for: Those that don’t like to use an oil based make up remover as this will not come off without one!
Grace loves it because: The soft pencil glides on so smoothly and doesn’t drag at all. I also love the colour range – some of the bright colours it comes in are incredibly intense.
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner, £8.99
Great for: Those who want the malleability of a pencil liner with the precision of a liquid liner.
Not so good for: Those who like super smudgy liner.
Penny loves it because: It doesn’t dry out, comes with a really good application brush and the brown version is a really beautiful bronze shade.
