Insta Live Product Reccomendations – Base Products

Insta Live 1 – All about Base

In the first of our Instagram lives, over on @gracebensonmua we discussed everything base related. Here are our top picks:

Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic, £18:

Great for: Those who find that their foundation doesn’t last all day or goes patchy.

Not so good for: Those with super sensitive skin.

Grace loves it because: I really find that after using this in the evening, my foundation sits better the next day.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, £42

Great for: Those who like a medium weight, glowy finish.

Not so good for: Those who like a full coverage, matte foundation.

Penny loves it because: This base really allows the natural luminosity of the skin to shine through. It feels weightless but gives a good 12 hours of wear with patchiness or fading.

Beauty Pie Great Skin Foundation, £30:

Great for: Those that like buildable natural coverage with a demi matte finish.

Not so good for: Those that like full coverage

Grace loves it because:  The sheer buildable coverage really makes your skin look great but still like skin and it lasts all day too!

MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer, £16.50

Great for:  Those who want a great all round concealer that can be used for both under eyes and blemishes/pigmentation.

Not so good for: Those who need serious dark circle coverage, though it can be layered over a corrector.

Penny loves it because: It’s very portable, has a lovely creamy texture and comes in the fantastic range of shades you would expect from MAC.

Illamasqua Skin Base Concealer, £22:

Great for: Concealing those under eye circles but also any unevenness in skin tone.

Not so good for: Those with really dark eyes – a corrector or brightener would be best used underneath. The shade range is also a little small.

Grace loves it because: It never looks cakey and lasts beautifully.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream, £42

Great for:  Those who want a subtle bronze glow with getting out the fake tan.

Not so good for: Those with very oily skin.

Penny loves it because:  It’s a fab product to add a healthy glow to skin. It’s also perfect to darken a slightly too pale foundation in the summer months.
